It's twenty-twenty four,
We're nearing it's end.
But Covid isn't over,
Let's stop playing pretend.
Those in power, they're lying,
They cover their tracks.
Take precautions in secret,
And follow the facts.
Only in private,
Can't have you knowing.
They want you at work,
Their investments are growing.
We're still in danger,
I'm sorry to say.
But it's not all despair,
Don't switch off, stay.
Progress is possible,
We've done it before.
Don't have to settle,
Come help demand more.
Mitigate spread,
Do what you can.
Heads in the sand,
That isn't a plan.
Apathy is dangerous,
We know that that's true.
A better world is possible,
I'll fight for it, will you?
You might not have known,
They want you in darkness.
But you're not anymore,
Don't help them harm us.
If you're like me with privilege,
Put it to use.
Don't leave it to others,
To suffer abuse.
Challenge it, push back,
Get in the way.
