A Word Of Thanks

You make everything easier, every day,

even on the days where I don’t get to see you.

You make sure I drink enough water.

You remind me to eat.

You help me put my necklace on when my hands shake.

You make me laugh.

You make me feel like I'm still a whole person.

You give an excellent cuddle.

You make me feel safe.

You care what “spoons” are.

You make me take breaks.

You make me try things.

You rub my sore legs.

You provide endless entertainment.

You make me feel like I’m good enough,

when I’ve convinced myself I’m not.

You hold my hand on the stairs.

You start the shower for me at 2am.

You let me watch Harry Potter on repeat.

You tell me when you’re proud of me.

You don’t mind when we have to stay in.

You appreciate a good afternoon nap.

You make me feel brave.

You make M.E bearable.

M.E doesn’t scare me when I’m with you.

Sometimes, you even make me forget about it altogether.

“Thank you” just doesn’t seem like enough, but I’ll say it anyway.

Thank You. Always.
